Your contribution will still be included in our overall fundraiser total, but we will not publicly identify you.

Our family recently lost my nephew, Jimmy, suddenly and far too soon. Jimmy was only 39 years old, and his passing left a hole in our family that words simply cannot describe.

 If you knew Jimmy, you knew there was usually a good laugh wherever he was. He was talented, hardworking, determined, and truly a jack of all trades. Electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, maintenance—you name it, Jimmy could probably figure it out. He believed in setting goals, working hard, taking care of himself, and always trying to become a better version of himself. Not long before his passing, Jimmy shared words that mean even more to us now: “You can’t have one foot in your old life and one foot in your new life and expect change. You have to fully commit to the new life. YOU MUST GO ALL IN.”

Jimmy Dean Counts Jr., 39, of Princeton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his home. Born April 20, 1987, in Harford County, Maryland, he was the son of Tammy Lynn Hunter Evans of Ashland, Kentucky, and the late Jimmy Dean Counts Sr.

Jimmy graduated from Boyd County High School in Ashland, Kentucky. Wherever Jimmy was, a good laugh was sure to follow. He was a true jack of all trades—skilled in electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and maintenance. Whether it was big or small, he could do it all. Jimmy dedicated himself to setting goals and working tirelessly to achieve them, always striving to be the best version of himself. He also took great pride in maintaining a strong and healthy body. In addition to his mother, Tammy, survivors include his four siblings: Brittney Gilbert, Joshua Artrip, Tiffany Estep, and Deana Brown; his grandmothers, Connie Williams and Peggy Byrd; His beloved fur babies, Trixie and Lady; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family has honored his wishes for cremation.
